Geoff Green has been involved with the Ottawa RiverKeeper’s (ORK) for many years, here is one example out of many of his involvement outside of Students on Ice.
Ottawa Riverkeeper’s hosted Environment and Climate Change Minister Steven Guilbeault and Parliamentary Secretary Terry Duguid for a roundtable discussion at River House.
The discussion focused on Ottawa Riverkeeper’s work on freshwater protection, biodiversity, and climate change. These include our ongoing Watershed Health Assessment and Monitoring initiative, youth education and engagement, and convening important stakeholders and Rights Holders around water protection. All of these elements will be expanded thanks to the recent move to River House, the new home of ORK on the river.
